Thrills at Home is basically me trying to capture that weird mix of boredom, restlessness, and sudden bursts of imagination that hit when you’re stuck in your own space for too long. It’s a song about feeling like nothing’s happening, but your brain is still running laps in the background chasing distractions, chasing meaning, chasing any little spark that makes the day feel different.
I wrote this one during a stretch where life felt repetitive, like every day was blending into the next. But there’s also something strangely comforting about that; the way small moments can feel massive when your world gets quiet enough. Thrills at Home wanders through that feeling the urge to escape, the urge to create, and the weird joys you find in the middle of all the static.
Sonically, it plays with that push-and-pull too: energetic but laid-back, glitchy but warm, like the soundtrack to your thoughts on a late night when you’re pacing around the apartment pretending everything’s fine. It’s indie, it’s electronic, it’s a little messy, and it’s honest.
If you’ve ever felt trapped but still hopeful… stuck but still dreaming… this song is for you. It’s a reminder that even when life feels still, there’s something alive underneath it all some spark waiting to catch.
